The Gödel Machine proved that a system could improve itself by rewriting its own code, and the Darwin–Gödel Machine made that practical by replacing intractable proof with variation and empirical selection, yet neither had been built. mindX builds it by writing its own code, with survival of the fittest as its algorithm of choice: its agents write variations of their own code, architecture and hyperparameters, measured fitness in production decides under DAIO governance which variations survive, and every choice is written to a Gödel audit trail that the system reads back. Therefore recursive self-construction is no longer only a theory, because a machine that selects its own improvements by fitness can run on commodity hardware, set its own goals, and stay held by constitutional law rather than a kill switch.
