mindX is a tiered orchestration system built from cryptographically authenticated agents. These agents are instantiated, validated, and evolved via the IDManagerAgent and governed by a constitutional layer.
All agents sign actions with their Ethereum-compatible wallets, ensuring cryptographic accountability and permissioned behavior.
Every agent in mindX has a public-key crypto wallet (Ethereum-compatible address). The IDManagerAgent is responsible for the identity registry and for how private keys are held:

If no API inference is found (e.g. no configured provider keys or no reachable endpoint), mindX will connect to or install Ollama as a local inference backend. The StartupAgent coordinates this: it attempts to auto-connect to Ollama; if that fails, it can invoke the Ollama bootstrap (e.g. llm/ollama_bootstrap: install and configure Ollama on Linux, pull a model, and serve it) so that the system gains local inference and can continue self-improvement and agentic operation without external API keys. Once Ollama is available, mindXagent and other agents use it as the default or fallback provider.
